Hello all,

I own a 99 F250 with the 7.3, and the previous owner removed the amp system so now the sound obviously does not play through the speakers. Where can I start to rectify this? I don't understand how aftermarket amps work or how the wiring changes, I'm just wanting to know how I can return it to its state before the amp was installed.

It would probably be faster, easier, and a long term fix to let an audio shop fix it.

Based on what you posted we dont know if the speakers are still there, what head unit you have, and even if the factory wiring is still in the cab.

agreed a shop may be best
it appears as though the PO had all the speakers running thru the rca to amp ( complete speculation)
you could possibly use the speaker lead outputs on the deck and bypass the amp wiring but honestly if that is the case I would grab another amp since this is a lot of wiring to undo
and if the head unit is decent the amp route can make for better sound and a sub option
