I just recently replaced the steering column in my 01 f350 because my clock spring was broke and I got another column cheap. Got it it and cruise and horn worked for about a day and now they aren't working. The lights on the buttons light up so that makes me thing my clock spring is still intact. What else could I check?

Fuses have all been checked along with the brake switches

There is a dk blue wire in the 6-cavity connector at the base of the column. This is the horn / cruise control wire. Back probe the connector dk blu wire with a straightened paperclip, and short the dk blue wire to a known ground. The horn should honk. If=yes, the problem is furthur up the column. If = No, check fuses and other horn-related hardware. The cruise control uses the same dk blue wire, but there are resistors in series with the cruise buttons, that the PCM intreprts as cruise commands. Only the horn is a direct 0-Ohm connection to ground.

Its probably the clockspring again.
