Hello Everyone,

I am new to the diesel world and just bought a 98 E450 Ecoline with the 7.3 powerstroke (made in 97), and got it looked over and the air intake box up top was cracked and missing some of the plastic so it needs to be replaced. I was wondering if instead of buying junkyard parts to fix it I could do the Napa 6637 Airfilter mod and get some bang for the buck. My only concern with this is the air intake system has a resonator installed in it so it's a bit different than the youtube videos for an F250 - F350. Can I just forgo the resonator and Install the airfilter straight into the intake pipe into the turbo,.

Thanks for any help!
