I bought a work truck from my Dad. Its a 96 reg cab F350 powerstroke auto that he put a flat bed on. The truck is an old ambulance he bought at an auction. The truck has about 115000 on it. If you are easy on it it will shift out of 1st at real high RPMs, if you get on it at all, you have to let off for it to shift into 2nd. Then it will shift into 3rd, then back to 2nd, 3rd, 4th, sometimes back into 3rd, then it is alright. Make any sense? The shifts are also real firm but the guy who used to drive it said they put shift kits in the ambulances. It has been doing this since he bought it a few years ago so I would think it would not be mechanical or it would have got worse by now:dunno: Is there a sensor that might be bad? All he did was leave it hooked up to a 32 foot cattle trailer and used at a few times a month so he never got around to having it fixed.
