I just bought an e350 with the 7.3. Drove it home (220mi). With 90+k on it i didnt know what to expect. She drove great except for one issue i am dealing with now. Overdrive light would flash. I would feel hard 1st 2nd shift. Milage in the crapper.

I pulled the codes with a cheapo scanner. I then called the dealer where i just bought a 12 escape for the wife. I deal with one service guy each time i have been in there and called him up with my new issue on the van.

I brought it in and they pulled 4 codes.

hard code-23 for tps that they said needed to be adjusted but they dont have the tool, parts, or wiring books. He only charged me for a 1/2 hr labor so cool whatever.

So what now? Im looking for some guidance. I bought this van to make into a wheelchair transport van for my son. I have 0 exp with diesels. If i made to the switch i would prob just replace it. I had no idea they could be adjusted. One of my techs at work said its by the injector pump. Confirm/deny?

Other codes stored in memory.

14-Engine rpm circuit (never heard of that code ever)
62-converter clutch error (trans code? Oh ****?) Could this be related to TPS?
67-MLB out of range. Is the MLB the neutral saftey switch?

Anyone have any exp with the above? Thanks.

The switch is on the pump.To adjust the switch you would need a Ford service tech to do that. You can replace the switch is what I would do.If you replace the switch remember the settings on how it is mounted. The switch controls the transmission. The hard shifts and blinking OD light are normal. When the puter detects something is wrong it tells the transmission to protect itself till problem is fixed.I have a school bus that used to do that
