1999 f350 w/ 7.3l. truck ran out of fuel about a month ago, needle showed 1/4 tank, but tank was dry. filled back up, truck was hard to start and ran like crap for a day, then settled down. Last week it started running like it was out of fuel again and draining fuel from water/fuel seperator valve. I replaced the drain valve, truck acted a little better. Today it started fine, idled about 2 min before I tried to drive out, it started acting like it was starving for fuel and smoking white. It shut down and will not restart. When it was running last week, when I put transmission back in park, throttle would rev up pretty high like I had my foot on the gas pedal. Any ideas? gonna change fuel filter after batteries charge.
