Hi i have a 2000 7.3 i recently purchased, it had a couple oil leaks at o-rings and water pump leak, i fixed those problems and drove truck approx 600 miles with no trouble (except it has what sounds like a lifter noise louder at rpm and hard to hear at idle). anyways it stated pushing coolant out res bottle and slight appearance of condensation in oil, i replaced cap and fan clutch with no improvement. so i just replaced all the injector cups and injector o-rings also the oil cooler, drove it last night after getting back together and still doing same thing, checked fluids cold this morning it was about 2 gallons low on coolant and moisture on oil dip stick. what are your thoughts? thanks for your input Steve(i think i know the answer)

After the truck as set at least over night -- longer would be better
Loosen the oil drain plug to the last thread, just where it starts leaking but is still in the threads
What is coming out? water or oil
water will be on the bottom of the oil and will come out first
2 gallons should show up pretty easily

Are you overheating, then pushing water?
or pushing water, then overheating?

I would fill the bottle all the way full, then start the engine and look for bubbling -- continue to fill until it wont hold any more
if nothing, then "brake torque" to load the engine, no need to rev up a lot
if there is a head gasket problem, that should show bubbling
do this with the engine cooled off, does not need to be cold

Normal compression pressure is 380-410 and a little more when the engine is running -- Your air compressor is not gonna come close to that
