it goes into regen every 250-350 miles. it had just started to do one when it told me to slow down.

i have an afe intake with out the power tube just filter and box.

so the only issues anyone has is this damn dpf...nothing else? i guessi should just remove it.

one of your egt sensors read that the temp was to high and shut the engine down. More than likely #13

Just so you know if it does it again or anyone else reading this if you wait 10 minutes and it still will not start, turn the key on and jump across the start terminals. the engine sould start and run

the dealer said this was caused because of the afe intake?

I've ran the AFE for the last 15,000 miles as the only mod I have and I've never experienced a problem like you had. I do see a check engine light every once and a while but no loss of power or shutdown. If I was you, I would take my truck to another dealer.

Most will say that. Any intake or exhaust mod and they will try to say that. They say it alters the airflow and affects the regen cycle. Either find a mod friendly dealer or make sure its stock when you take it in.

Yea the forums have been talking about some dealers looking for excuesses to not pay warranty work for years. And you gave them an easy one. JJ

Aftermarket intakes play with the MAF readings, an the PCM uses the MAF to help determine regen frequency.
