I will be buying a new truck within the next few weeks, and I'm torn. I really want a Cummins, but I am not a fan of Dodge interiors. I absolutely love 2011-13 King Ranch interiors though. What I would really like is a 2011-13 King Ranch with a Cummins swapped in. Is this out of the question with all of the electronics and lack of room under the hood of new trucks, or is it a possibility? I know it would probably be expensive. I don't see anything about swaps on anything past 2010 trucks on Destroked...

Any ideas/feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah, I'm thinking it would be too expensive to be worth it. I've also been looking at Outlaw edition 6.0s. I may go with one of them. The reason I wanted to do a swap is that I have a few friends with the new Powerstroke. One of them has dpf/def/egr delete and Spartan tuning, but even then it doesn't strike my fancy. I've always been a Cummins fan too.

Since the truck that's getting the donor engine would still have to comply with the EPA regulations and the 5.9 would not meet the 2011-Present regulations... You would have to use the 6.7 cummins but to me it seems like a nightmare.

FYI... I didn't vote because I don't feel like anyone how buys a 2011- up ford truck has to DEAL with the Scorpion 6.7. Great motor... Crappy turbo. Every single vehicle on the road has some sort of an issue with OEM parts.
Yeah. I'm not concerned with complying with EPA regulations. And I've actually decided to go with a 6.0 Lariat Outlaw. Thanks for the feedback though.

What year? And what all does the outlaw mean?
It's an '07. In 2007 (and only that year), Ford made the Lariat Highline and Lariat Outlaw. The Outlaw was a 4 door and only available with the 6.0 Powerstroke. It has an all black exterior, including the grille and mirrors. The interior has chrome gauge bezels, stainless trim around the radio, on the doors, and around the climate control, and black leather seats with red accents. This isn't the one I'm getting, but it's basically identical: Ford : F-250 Outlaw 6.0L V8 4X4 in Ford | eBay Motors

Could you imagine buy a new f250... Swapping a 5.9 cummins and then not passing an emissions test! Your talking about $70k and only being ale to drive it on the track! Congrats on the 6.0 though... I have to say that I'm surprised that you didn't want the new 6.7 Ford diesel but settled for a 6.0. You planning on doing a cummins swap?
I've always liked being a little bit different than everyone else, and I'm a Powerstroke fan, so I figured I'd go with a 6.0 and bring it up to about 650-700HP as a reliable daily driver. No Cummins swap planned, but I may get one and build it as a puller in a few years. Not enough cash right now. I've also always loved the Outlaw package. And I would rather not say why I am not worried about emissions tests. We'll just say I have connections...

650-700 rwhp DD is going to take a lot of work... But that doesn't mean it can't be done. Someone on the org actually put a 6.7 powerstroke in place of his 7.3 powerstroke. Good luck and make sure to start a build thread about your truck and its progress. I look forward to it!
Yeah. I'll probably start the build next summer. A friend of mine has a 2000 Ford Excursion. He is making 750 horsepower and just swapped in a ZF6, and he uses it as his daily driver. Its a sweet rig. I don't need 750, but I'd really like to have 650 or so. It'll take a good chunk of cash to get that out of a 6.0, but it'll be a sweet truck when I'm finished. I see you have a 6.0. How do you like it?

Hope you have a real big check book or a high limit on your credit card to make that much power. Not impossible with a 6.0 but DAMN expensive. For sure start a build thread. I'd love to see it and the Outlaw edition truck is mean looking.

Yup. That's one reason I decided not to go with a new truck. Now I'll have more money for modifications. I'll start a build thread when I start the build next summer. For now, I'll probably do pillar gauges, cold air intake, and a 5" straight pipe. Here's a pic. Don't like the rims, so I'll probably swap them out for some factory 20s or a set of Fuel Throttle rims.

Is this a joke? LOL He wants to swap a 6.7L Cummins in place of a 6.7L Powerstroke... And then settles on a 6.0L. The 6.7L Cummins is joke compared to the 6.7L Powerstroke... And the 6.0L has a very similar reputation.
It was just an idea. I wanted something unique. Also, a friend of mine has a 6.7L Powerstroke, and I don't really like it. Can't quite put my finger on why.
