6.4 fuel banjo bolt on left, 6.0 fuel banjo bolt on right in both pics. now you can see the difference!

1. Larger holes in 6.4 bolts
2. Twice the holes in 6.4 bolts
3. No check valve in the 6.4 bolts

Don't mind the extra washer on the 6.0 bolt.

Yep definitely a huge difference. Nice pictures. Surely if you didn't know the difference before you do now. Might convince more to make the change.

Sorry for the dumb question....I'm still trying to learn all this diesel stuff. Can you briefly tell me why you should change the banjo bolt? Thanks.
6.0 WOT its fuel cuts out I believe. Which can be harmful to the injectors over time. 6.4 is all flow

Peace of mind that the injectors aren't starved for fuel.

They are located one on each head on the front of the engine. Post up the link where you read about not to install them.

Looking at these pictures, I would think that you could remove the cir clip in the end of the bolt and remove the check valve. Then you could enlarge the hole on the the shank of the bolt and drill another hole to match it, and you would have a 6.4 Banjo Bolt for free. Correct me if I'm wrong.

What is the check valve in the 6.0 bolt for? And where do you get these, junk yard, dealer item?

To keep pressure from bleeding back out of the heads, I am assuming. I ordered them new from Tousley Ford.

How much were the bolts?
Item: BOLT
Part Number: W302472
Price: $3.66
Qty: 2
Total: $7.32

Item: WASHER
Part Number: W303659
Price: $0.64
Qty: 4
Total: $2.56

$9.88 plus a couple bucks shipping.

Is it worth the time trying to drill it? Thats up to you. You'll still need new washers when you reinstall; whether its the 6.4 bolts or the 6.0 bolts.

The only number that didn't come up was the washers. I'm sure they can tell me which ones to use if I call
