Hey guys i got a 2008 with h an s hot damn tune, flo pro egr delete, 5 inch exhaust and s an b intake did full coolant flush and run cat elc, now i have had it deleted for about 5k miles and drive it like a truck i tow and use it for work everyday and take it about 50 miles to see my girlfriend most nights, the other night coming home i really got on it when i stopped for fuel i noticed coolant pooring out and limped it home, just drivers side block was soaked. Is the thing done already/ 49k on the truck what do you recommend for studs if it is that

Did it come from the degas bottle?

Just the side of the block was wet i didnt check the degas bottle why would it be that. its also sprayed out of the degas on to my hood and other motor parts

Wait.....so you didn't check the degas bottle but it sprayed out of the degas bottle? I'm confused.

well it came out of the cap but i seemed to only be a small amount and from what ive read if its over pressured it means studs i could be wrong its not something i looked much into i apologize for not knowing

You're good bud. I just didn't understand the post.

I'd say it's a safe bet that you're head bolts probably stretched, letting the heads lift and compromise your head gaskets. It's not 100% for sure that is the issue but the probability that you're going to need to do studs and new gaskets is pretty high.

I'd invest in some ARP head studs.

On average how much does this job cost? I do most everything myself but id be uncomfortable doing this job, pulling the cab and all!

I'm not sure off the top of my head. I want to say $3500 or so for parts and labor. Typically depends on the shop and labor rate. You definitely don't want to cheap out and let someone touch your truck that has no clue what they're doing. Tune down and save if you need to so you can wait until you can spend the money having it done right.
