I took my 2004 F350 in for service, and long story short, I had to replace two warped cylinder heads. I ordered "new" remaned heads from a company that will for now remain nameless, and after the Ford dealership installed them, two push rods were bent and the rocker arm cracked.
My problem is now it is another 2k+ for the teardown, and everyone is pointing fingers. The Dealer showed me on the dissasembled truck where the valves actually struck the top of the piston. Their claim is that when remilled, the machine shop did not properly raise the valves when they resurfaced the heads, thereby causing the damage. In turn, the machine shop said the rocker arm was overtighted and caused the damage. To me this does not sound possible? could an overtighted rocker arm force two valves into a piston?
