So i bought a 2003 6.0 from a guy who claimed he thought it had a high pressure oil leak... but I haven't seen any sign of it... I just data logged the truck with an SCT and the ICP never went below 580 and IPR never went above 30% (at Idle)... from what I've read this is normal... ICP durring driving seems normal pushing into 1000 and higher... I'm just worried about taking this thing out and having it get a serious hot start issue somewhere... any advice? I'm wondering what oil is in it and if that might be causing it to dip at some point? The motor has head bolts, egr delete, etc... but it was done by the owner previous to the one i bought it from. I'm just looking for advice if you guys think it might still have a HP leak? I don't want to tear into it if i don't need to...

P.S.
Sorry for this being my first post... I've been a creeper on these boards for a while and I just haven't had anything good to add.

Set it to stock tune, run her WOT and monitor ICP psi, a healthy HPOP should be around 4000psi.

Thank you I'll check it out when the snow clears... Any other things I should be looking for? Or other sensors I should be monitoring to help me track the issue down? I got a set of the air adapters (expecting a HPOP leak) will they still work if the leak only happens at WOT?

Since you have a 03, the ICP sensor is behind/under the turbo. It's common for the ICP sensor to leak oil from the electrical plug and cause damage to the plug/wires. When this happens, you can get crappy running truck, or CEL.

The air adapter is for diagnosing a HPOP leak in the shop.

In STOCK tune, the ICP should reach 3800 to 4000 psi at WOT. If your running a programmer, the program (tune) might give you a false ICP reading, this will depend on the tune. Some tunes fool the ICP, some fool the ICPv, some fool both.
