I need to troubleshoot my P0671 glow plug soft code and found these docs. I think i can actually test through the GP bus bar harness plug to see if my GP resistance is correct without pulling the bus bar out (at least to start with). I also spoke to my local Ford dealer diesel tech (super awesome dude will answer all kind of questions, print out troubleshooting docs for you, etc.) and he seemed to think I am more likely to have a failed GPCM versus the GP itself, even though I'm only throwing a single cylinder code.

I'll give these docs a run-through tomorrow. I figure at the least I can maybe saved busting up a perfectly good bus bar only to find out the GP wasn't bad.

Testing the module is easy. It right on top. Tons of videos on the subject. But having just replaced 1,3,5,6 GP i bet its just a glow plug. Do yourself a favor and watch some videos on removal using a screwdriver and some #10GA wire....works great when pulling the harness

Fixed it up today. Cylinder 1 GP ohm tested at 22 instead of .5 to 2 through the harness. I followed Dave's "through the wheelwell" instructions in the forum tech articles. I have the solid bus bar, so no wire needed. Just some gentle prying. My bus bar is only 6 months old so it wasn't brittle yet.
