I am just an hour away from the CHAZ / CHOP crap going on so perhaps a bigger bumper might be worth it lol. I love the bigger 3" tubing but I do agree the pre runner style is more clean. I wish it had other bars coming off the pre runner bars like my old bumper did but I think once I actually see it I'll like it as I haven't had a nice heavy bumper like this. I always cheap out. I will say I'll never buy another steelcraft again though, the one I put on the 2011 was a junker. That fab fours on the 6.0 was amazing, just wish it was smooth steel.

If if we're doing an all out survival/camping truck, then I would definitely go for the armored up look. I like the look, just not for my daily, def do for my toy. But, everybody is different. Heck, I love the way these trucks look bone stock, really.

If I were you, I'd be putting saw blades and machine guns on my truck, if I were that close to that crap. I'd do the job the police chief refused to do, stand up to the mayor and clean my damn town. Sometimes you can't just be worried about the future of your position and need to uphold laws to protect the good common man.

I prefer the pre-runner of the two you showed.......but Deerslayer is one of my favorite bumpers ever. Here is a pic of Deerslayer. Made by Warn.

Some fun facts for you guys around the reno/tahoe area that you guys might get a kick out of.

The house my girlfriends parents have in Tahoe, they purchased from the original owner who was the founder of Circus Circus.

I learned that last night and thought it was pretty cool.

I can remember sitting around a blackjack table one night in Vegas long ago and a couple of the players agreed to split cab fare to venture out into the wilds of the desert to see the new Circus Circus casino.

Is the SCT X4 supposed to actually calibrate my speedo? It's always been off so today I went to the minimum at 500 RPM on the tires, then went up to 800 with the same result. GPS and the speed check thing on the road show 50 mph but the X4 shows 45.

I don't think it does, I think that's for the read out in the SCT. But, it seems like your calculations might be off still?

I bought the HyperTech calibrator for my '04 and now the speedo is spot on with the GPS

Does the insight cts3 or cts2 have a calibration for bigger tires?

The unit was $239? From summit racing
The CTS2 has a provision for larger tires but it only affects the speedo pid on the unit itself
The hypertech has sizing up to 52" tires if I remember correctly

We put Nakamoto pads and rotors on my dads Escalade a few years ago, still doing great. Looking at the carfax app he's got about 38k miles on them so far.
Hey so how are your pmf lines holding up ?

Ehh, I'm 50/50 on them. I haven't driven much, however the red part is already separating. According to them, this is "normal" and doesn't affect performance. I get it doesn't affect performance and it's just for looks, but I've driven less than 500 miles just on the road and they split already. I personally will not be buying them again, I'd go another route. Also I don't know if I installed something wrong, but the bracket on this side does not fit at all. This is the drivers side, it's hard to explain but see how close to the coil bucket it is? Stock it's no where near this close so I actually had to re bend the line to make it work. I've heard of good things from PMF, but from my experience I've had poor customer service and a poor product.

The CTS 2 will show the correct speed though? I've been wanting to get another one but I don't have a reason to justify the expense. This might be a way to do it. Though I'd like the truck to show the correct speed to so my odometer is accurate.

CTS2 won't change the speedometer or the odometer in the truck it only changes the speedometer display on the CTS2
Which is why I opted for the HyperTech calibrator

The l shape brackets do not fit the original position n requires you to re bend. , In my case, I ended up breaking the line and having to replace it ( don’t mind the rounded out end lol ).

For as much as these lines cost ( I did all 5). They Deff get points off for the brackets not making this “ kit “ plug and play. I would consider different lines if I had to do it again although the quality of the crimps seems to be oe it better.

There is something to be said about fit n finish in I give these 3/5 for that.
