Alright, since nobody else has done it yet, I guess it's up to me to start this one. That way we can get back to "on topic" in the "what did you do" thread  No topics in particular required.........if it doesn't take off I'll kill it, otherwise I figure it may help wrangle in a couple of the other threads. Up to you guys though.

So there's the awkward start haha.....

Do not add another phone or hotspot then. I had similar results before I added another hotspot for my son to use. I already had the home phone, router hotspot device and was getting pretty much unlimited 4G after changing over to the unlimited item plan, but as soon I as added the additional hotspot, that all stopped. When it hits 10 gig, it slows down to 3g speeds. I even get email notifications when it's getting close to the 10 gig limit now. Never got those before I and added the second hotspot.
Has it moved up to 3g now? It used to limit you from 4g to 2g. Quite the crock...

So I have a general question about the blue spring upgrade. I have been looking at kits, do I need the kit with the new housing or can I get by with a cheaper kit with no housing. I tried to post a link to the kit on amazon but i was not allowed to. If you search blue spring ban4buck on amazon the kit is only like $7. Just curious.
I did mine with the 7 dollar kit, just replaced all of the seals and such in the housing; they came in the kit. I did that about 2 years ago, now.

No problems kit seem pretty well built?
No problems, everything went into place easily. I think it was 28 or 30 minute job. I took the unit out and put my time working on it in the garage. The extra PSI from this kid keep your rear cylinders from running dry under heavy load. Since diesel fuel acts as a lubricant, this is a good thing. I would highly recommend.

Any time, bud. I don't recall if there are multiple kits, but get the blue spring; if so. Don't forget a few lint free shop rags; it gets kinda messy with the fuel. A magnetic tray (for serviceable parts) and a few line wrenches (for fuel lines) will be your friend.

Haha, I need to set my subs back up; getting lonely in the garage.

Forgot to mention, the monster or beats aux cords actually make a difference on sound delivery.
Dont forget to use zip-ties on the fuel lines to keep the fittings from sliding down beyond reach.

That's a great observation.

when i bought my truck it didnt run and i did the blue wpring before i put it all together again. that was 5 years ago but it still holds 54# or better even at wot and cruising sits 58 to 60 :thumb:
Those are really good numbers after extensive use.

Anyone ever heard of the Diesel Authority shop in GA? If so, any thoughts?

Swapped back to the economy tune on the FICM
Atlas 80 an 5000' elevation tends to make impressive amounts of smoke
Oh, and drove through the Yellowstone bear preserve, bears are cool when they're not stalking you through the forest or stealing your picnic basket

How did you reflash your FICM?

Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
I have the PHP FICM programmer
I didn't know you could flash that without taking it out. Is it flash on the the fly?

Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
Not really "on the fly" you have to remove the FICM relay and the programmer plugd into the OBD port

Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
Is it a pain to get to the relay?

Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
I've taken my FICM out and shipped it for a bulletproofing and a tune, but never fooled with the relay.

i changed the oil in the wifes caddy today.

similar drain pan design but the exhaust is clear.

biggest problem with it is the oil pressure sending unit is cauing me grief. doesnt like 10 30 synthetic

so it keeps telling me there is low oil pressure

they are great...when they arent killing a deer in your back yard

or tearing down your bird feeder

or chasing the neighbors back into their house and not letting them leave for almost two weeks.

bears and cougars are a PITA

relay is WAY easier than pulling the ficm...
I gathered as much. I don't want to pull it again...

What's the difference between the SCT Livewire and the X4?

Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
Any of you guys have experience with the SCT egt probe?

Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
Not yet, but I'm planning to get one. Apparently, my truck already has the slot drilled for it.

Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
I need to add one to my truck and was curious. I already have the x4 monitor. Also I pulled out my factory brake controller and looked at the board. Didn't see any broken solder points. So don't know what to think about that TBC fault I was getting.

I think XDP sells the one you need.
Someone correct if that's incorrect.

[email protected] sells them also.

I'm all a out helping the community, especially, if it delivers a better price. I have not allegiance to XDP.

Apparently, I need to know more about this guy.
