My evap coil is leaking freon again. I installed it new two years ago. I was told by a freind that Powerstrokes are hard on these coils for some odd reason. His theory is the extra vibration from the engine since he does not see any issues with gas OBS coil's in his repair shop. I am installing another new one later this week.

Any theories here ?

I've never had a problem with either of mine personally. They always seemed to blow hard and cold, I just re charged the one in my crew cab tho. But its at like 280k and still had plenty of charge just wanted it a lil colder. Hard to keep my huge cab cold kause I roll the window down to smoke and its like 115 here in Oklahoma

Not sure how it mounts, but is it getting twisted? That or are the lines improperly mounted and working on it. Where does it leak from on the evap.?

It was not twisted in any way. The leak was in the coil itself, not at the connections. Maybe they just gave me a bad one.
