I did back probe it first and had voltage. I didn’t want to cut the wire to isolate, that’s when I pulled the plug and tested directly to the pcm pin. Still had 4.5 volts. Vref voltage isn’t low, I’ve just got 4.5 volts on that return pin, which should have 0 volts with that connector unplugged. I really don’t see how that could be a false trail when I’m going right to the pcm and bypassing everything that the harness could be shorted to. But I’m all ears for all ideas/suggestions you’ve got.

I can check voltage on my dads 2011 next time I’m at my shop but from everything I’ve looked at there should be absolutely no voltage on that circuit with it unplugged.

I missed where you had tested by back pinning
voltage on the "sense" wire is supposed to originate from the sensor
but disconnected there still may be some, measured with a volt meter, because there is no load on the circuit -- That is where I was coming from

I trouble shoot a lot of plc control circuits and ghost voltage has tricked me quite a bit in the past so I honestly had the same thought and put a test light on it just to make sure and there is actual voltage on it. Where it’s in the return side and not the source side I figure there’s something in the pcm to burn that voltage up so there should never be ghost voltage on it but I’ve been wrong most my life and could be wrong there.

I can agree with that, there should be no noticeable power on a sensor wire -- at the pcm
and yeah, ghost voltage has bit me a few times also
a 1k ohm resistor can be a friend sometimes when testing harness wires

gotta love power and signal wires that run parallel in the same harness
especially in a sensitive circuit

Well spent all day going back through harnesses. While I was doing that i left batteries unhooked. Hooked everything back up and issue is fixed. So I guess new computer did work, just had to leave batteries unhooked to reset everything. On a side note, my ac issue is fixed as well. I was having issues with my compressor disengaging all the time and that is gone now as well.
