Hello Ford guys

I have an 08 F-350 I bought used & is my 1st diesel. I’ve seen & heard that the transmission flush can be harmful if it hasn’t been done before on older & higher mileage trucks. I only want what’s best for my truck so not sure about what to do. It has 175,000 & as far as I know has never been flushed or even the fluid changed. Insights?

Thanks

so your choices do nothing or do a pan drop , filter, refill or a couple of times or a flush

your 08 may have the bell housing filter so figure that out

and a real ford Rotunda flush just replaces dirty fluid for hot fresh fluid quart for quart

so if fresh fluid is going to doom your tranny it won't be the flush it will be the bad maintenance

if i were you i would look at the fluid and see what shape it is in and decide from there , a replacement tranny is about 4k from ford
