sounding like it could have air in the system, it can be a bear to blead it out. it is my best guess with the info. they are known for having rail pumps going bad it would be the next thing to look at and if the fuel filter is not seated right it will give you hell and it is why it is important to use stock filter they have a little tap that seats just right that the off markets dont
