This is going to seem weird but I have an extended warranty I saw an oil leak just a small one so I went to my dealer they diagnosed it with dye and said it was the front crankshaft seal. I talked to the Diesel technician and he told me to replace the crankshaft seal he did not have remove all of the interference in the front of the truck i.e. the radiator fan shroud intercooler and all that. What he did was put it on a lift and do everything from underneath putting his hands up inside there and I was wondering if that’s possible. I’m hearing it’s not possible . What do other diesel technicians out there think.thanks.
