Hey i went to start my truck this morning took several tries to turn start, ran for a bit, once it was warmed up i tried to drive it. It bogged down and started running rough after about a kilometer, i managed to limp it to a gas station then had it towed home. While waiting on the tow truck it idled fine. Once home i let it sit for several hours, now it has a hard start, runs rough and stalls after a few seconds, lots of white smoke/unburnt fuel. Ive attached some screenshots from the forscan log at various timestamps. Any help is appreciated thx.

Any codes?

Hard to use the screen shot information unless you label them with the operating conditions (ie cranking, cold idle, hot idle, high idle, cruising at highway speed, etc).

Simply based in the last screenshot, I would guess you had low pressure in the high pressure oil system.

Those voltages are a bit low, but it does depend on the conditions (cranking and or idling with the glow plugs still on). I wouldn't expect that being at 11 volts would cause any significant problems unless he can't get more than that from the alternator at any time.

These screenshots are only covering a period of a few seconds, the forum wont let me upload the actual log file, they show cranking, a brief idle then as the engine stalls out. It wont stay on long enough to warm up or go into high idle. It did throw a p0335 code from the first start of the day but i cleared that and it hasnt come back, so i suspect it was triggered from the long crank time. The only persistant code is one for the glowplug module which has been there for weeks.

Forscan - Google Drive ive included a link to a fileshare with the log file. It should be easier to parse out whats happening, im going to try to see what the truck does today, ill need to get some battery tenders today to avoid the batteries running go low from cranking. Ill also be checking the fuel and the ficm connections. The ficm is losing sync once the truck starts.

You need to look at the ICP sensor voltage. Very possible that it really isn't making that pressure. The PCM will assume a value in an attempt to enable a start.

Agree with this assessment. Disconnect the ICP sensor and start it to see if anything changes.

If you actually have low pressure WITH a short in the wiring, then it certainly will NOT start with the ICP sensor plugged in, or when unplugged.

3 volts is equal to about 2400 psi. It seems that your PCM is "inferring" a value if it reports "1600 to 2000 psi" when the voltage is that high.

You need 500 psi to start. 1500 psi is in the normal range for cold oil, but 15W40 when cold cranking will make a higher pressure than 5W40 will.

Im running 5w40, the temps outside are like 10c
