I purchased a 4x4 2003 f250 with the 6.0 a couple of months ago. It has 290000 on it and I payed 3500 for it. I bought a scan gauge for it and oil Temps look good they never get over 10 degrees above the coolant temp and my fcim runs at 47.5 volts. My question is did i get a good deal and is there anything else i should be looking at to check. I changed the oil with 5-40 synthetic and also both fuel filters. The only thing that seems strange is that I don't get much boost at full throttle usually around 12 psi and the most I could get was 18 but that's all without a load. Thanks in advance this forum is awesome and I've already learned a lot from it.

That is low, you can clean the ebp valve and the line running from it to make sure they are not plugged up. On an 03 they are on the pass side.

I think that is a GREAT price if the body and suspension is in good shape. There is a place in north carolina where you can get a rebuilt 6.0 engine for $3000. So even if you are worried about the miles, I would drive the $#*# out of it and if anything does go wrong pick up one of those engines. There now you have a brand new 03 f250 for just over $6500. Here are the guys I'm talking about. Asheville Engine Rebuilders - Home
