I just swapped out my 273 to a 271 t-case, I'm trying to get my 4x4 lights in the dash to work. Does anyone know what color the wires are on the original harness or which pin locations on the plug they were located.

I've tried a couple different combinations and they haven't worked.

Its been a while since I did that swap. IIRC, I ran two wires from the 271 up to the dash and spliced into the 4x4 and low lights. Should be easy to ohm out, transfer case returns ground to illuminate the lights. I ended up not splicing the wires at the transfer case, there were some differences in routing to the dash lights between the 271 and 273 wiring harnesses I think it was something to do with a splice sending signal to the transmission which led to the new wires to avoid any issues.

Thank you for the reply! I found a thread on the FTE forum where 2 guys were able to connect directly to the signal wires in the main esof harness and it worked. The called out a light blue and brn/ylw set of wires. I don't have either of those in the 6 prong plug..

To be completely honest I have no idea how to properly ohm out stuff🤦🏻‍♂️..
