I have a 2000 F350 powerstroke automatic. It does not have cruise control. I have read that I can just purchase the steering wheel with the control buttons and possibly get the computer reprogrammed and thats all there is to it. Can anyone tell me if this is fact of fiction?

Not sure man. Wouldn't you also need a sensor in the brake pedal so you can tap off the cruise?

i dont think so because i looked at the wiring schematic in a manual and all it shows i am missing is the cruise control buttons, i think the brake sensor and speed sensor and all other imput is controlled by the computer, thats why im thinking it may have to be reprogrammed to identify the cruise control.

oh ok. Well that would be cool if all you needed was the wheel and a re-program.
