I recently was in a crash in my 2000 7.3 superduty. A prius ran a stop sign and cut me off while I was traveling approximately 40 mph and its not pretty what my cherry powerstroke has had happened to him. Well the prius is not a prius anymore it looked like a smashed aluminum soda can. It was bad I feel so sorry for the poor bastard that cut me off I had no time to react except I let off pedal and the next thing I know is the prius just disappeared and then boom I'm launched in the air my airbags deploy and when I hit the asphalt I was thrown off the road into a ditch. So the rear front leaf spring hangers were bent over towards towards the driver's side. Most damage was the right side of truck but Messed the entire suspension up. When the impact of the tire hit the prius it folded those carriers over. Broke my shocks on both sides and some how forced the axel to slide back on the leaf spring and forced the tire to mess the fender all up and my side step was smashed in and bent under cab. Swaybar bent up and steering link bent and a small dent in gear box cover don't think the frame is bent but the entire cab and bed were moved slightly passenger door is messed up and ac cooler and what I think is a oil cooler got pushed.back just a bit and so I'm leaking coolant from the two lines connecting to the small radiator cooling thingy windshield is pretty broke up on passenger side. Anyway im still able to drive my 7.3 and I don't have shocks on it anymore temporarily. I pulled the axle back into place and retorqued the ubolts holding the axle to the leaf springs. But everything needs to be replaced but I'm not leaking Any gear oil brake fluid or vacuum lines are all good believe it or not but it's pretty messed up. So here's my question. I have a 10 inch lift but it was that way when I bought the truck. All I did was add some good shocks that I need to replace my question is im most likely am going to be replacing the whole dyna 50 but when it comes to the leafs lift kit sway bar steerbar powersteering gearbox pitman tie rods wheel hubs...and caliper rotors what brands should I use and which should I stay away from? I'm going make it better than it was before of course I just don't have any idea what upgrades and brands i should invest in. Please help me make a list of the brands and upgrades I should do. I don't know all the steering parts underneath but it all needs to be replaced as well as the transfer case drive line and joints and possibly the transfer case from the drive Line being pushed back into it. But I also am noticing transmission is shifting hard now not horribly but it is a concern. So I want to do most the work myself except for the alignment but I can do the axle and pretty much the entire suspension just need to know the best plan of attack. Thanks forum!
