"Going out" ? -- as in when you ohm test the sensor it shows open?

your speedometer quits working?

Is there physical damage to the magnet tip? or metal particles?

It starts freaking out above 65. Jumping from 70 to 50 Then it get worse. Starts freaking out at 60. Then at 55.
Replaced it on Warranty. Did the same thing after 1.5 months. Have the third one in.

The sensor is a simple coil of wire around a magnet core -- kind of like a light bulb -- either works or does not -- ohm the sensor

else it is the PSOM in the instrument cluster and the new sensors are masking the problem

one other thing: it could be the wire back at the rear end -- moves around a lot -- may have broken copper inside

Make sure the sensor is also fully seating in the rear end housing. I'm assuming there is no evidence of the sensors being "wiped" by the tone ring, is that correct? Cheers!
