Wondering why my tranny down shifting hard. Notice it down shift hard from third to second. Any clue why

Tuned? Factory emissions? If totally stock it almost sounds like the fluid needs to be changed or (especially of it is only between 2 particular gears) a speed sensor.

There is a reasonable braking effort that will change how hard the downshifts happen. So if you exit the HWY, then hit the brakes harder than you have before the downshift will be "harder" since the RPMs might be higher than before.

Is it happening all the time now or just that one time??
