Gents,

Long time listener first time poster. I'm reaching out to you guys for help. I am going to flush the cooling system and want to see if the fuel cooler reservoir needs more coolant, I never paid much attention to it till now and Thank God no issues yet, hence me trying to give the fuel cooler the attention it needed.

However, the fuel cooler cap wont, for the life of me come off. The "alien design" of it i.e., a rounded rhombus shape, is preventing me from taking it off. I have put some muscle behind to the points I was afraid to crack the fuel cooler reservoir. Has anyone else had/found a solution to this? Also my cap is opaque silver not clear as others have posted no clue why.

Tap it on its center straight down, somewhat lightly a couple times. This will help loosen it. Then put a pipe wrench on it and go counter clockwise. Put one hand on the wrench and the other on the cap and push down while turning. Dont put an insane amount of torque on it so you have to feel it out.
