I have a 2001 7.3 with afe intake, edge juice w/ attitude, 4" magnaflow straight exhaust. I has had a little leakage on the up pipes for a while, but recently the boost only gets to 15-16lbs where before it was 25-27 wot. Also check engine light comes on after 15 lbs of boost then truck seems sluggish. Not really any more power after about half throttle. But it would normally run Great when it was cold, after the engine warms up it never seems to have the same power/throttle response.

Tried unplugging the wastegate hose, no difference. Cleaned air filter, no difference. Scanned for codes and came up with none. Drove the truck got the light to come on. Rescanned and still no codes. Hose clamps are tight of the tubes. They also appear to be fine.

prolly a stupid question but when is the last time you changed your fuel filter?

Also Rescanned with a Snap On Scanner and got this P0476,P0284. Once the ses light comes on the codes are p1207 and p1211.

Sounds to me like you may have a couple problems... EBPV may not be disengaging all the way, and the Up-pipe to the turbo bay be leaking.


P0284 is usually just from the gray CPS. (I get it on mine, too.)

P1211 sounds like your Oil pressure is getting to high, I'm guessing from the programmer, but IDK.

P1207 doesn't sound good, tho. I would check your UCVH and see if the plug is tight or coming loose.

Hopefully someone more helpful comes along soon... :bump:

I made a boost leak detector. Found a couple of small leaks on the i/c boots fixed them. Test drove and still on 15 max boost. Can the uppipes leaking cause it to loose 10 pounds of boost??? I know they are leaking the driver side one has soot on it and the firewall.... I can hear it leaking from inside of the truck. Sounds like my other truck when it blows the collector gasket on the headers.

Does anybody have a suggestion? I'm not sure. Unplugged the MAP sensor didn't notice any difference. Also checked the turbo, clean inside, wheel looks good and it free spins easy.

Pipes installed boost back to 22-24 lbs of boost but only until it warms up then when you get on it the power isn't there. Now throwing codes P1209/P0236/P1211. Only concerned with the P0236. Guess I need a boost fooler now or the map sensor is going bad..

Bellowe uppipes installed. Boost back but still very sluggish. Plugged the snap on scanner back in and at
2399 rpm InjCtrlPr (PSI) is only 1645 and then falls off
ICP (V) 2.22

Maybe ICP bad?
IPR Valve bad/sticking?
Rebuilt HPOP 9 months ago and also changed IPR orings.....
No bad oil leaks.
Injector Buzz test Checks Ok.

Today I ran the truck again. Same code came up after clearing even with the Edge w/Juice Turned off. Oil Pressure is right now. around 2600psi at wot. Really starting to hate this Truck. Still has the lack of power. PLEASE HELP WITH ANY SUGGESTIONS.....

Yes, leaking up pipes can cause a large boost loss.
You never answered y question about the EBV being stuck on... have you checked it out?

Also, with the new bellowed up-pipes, are you still getting any codes? Are the manifolds good? No leaks there?

EBV doesn't look to be stuck shut. I ran the Tests and no codes for that or anything else. I can hear the EBV when the computer is testing it. Sounds like a Train is coming. Only code comes up when under hard acceleration with or without the programmer turned on. There are no exhaust leaks now. Tight and quiet.

What is the code that comes up?

How does the turbo wheel look? No shaft play?
