I don't want to name the turbo builder or the tune writer because I truly don't believe there is anything wrong with their products and don't want to turn anybody away from them.
With that said, I recently bought the equivalent of a powermax with a billet wheel and had my "hot street" tune...
I installed a new powermax today on my 2003 F250 6.0 @ 164,500 miles. I was expecting to hear the whistle like in the stock turbo but there's no whistle at all :(
Do I need custom tunes to get the whistle back?
I still have the stock exhaust on it, not sure if this makes a big difference...
Been awhile since I've posted, have a bit of an issue... new parts as follows:
1. powermax turbo
2. IPR, ICP, EBP,
4. stand pipes and dummy plugs
5. STC fitting on HPOP
6. fuel pressure spring update, 6.4 banjo bolts
7. Good batteries
8. new regulator and brushes on...
Got my my new Powermax Turbo in today. But I cannot for the life of me get the down pipe to not leak at the turbo. Any tips?? I also broke the T-bolt that holds that clamp together...Any ideas where I can get one besides the dealer?? I also now have a coolant leak that seems to be coming from...
Well, my hopes and dreams have finally come true. This weekend I will be installing a Garett Powermax turbo, Casserly 190cc injectors, Airdog II, and a regulated return. I absolutely cannot wait crank her up when it's all done. Will post pics of the installation soon.
