I recently purchased my first ever diesel engine pickup, a 2008 Ford, F350, 6.4L, 2x4, DRW, Cab/Chassis, Crew Cab. It had 67,000 miles on it when I purchased it from the original owner who used it as a crew truck in the oil field. It is all stock with no modifications to the engine, body, or...
I have a new in box PIP EGT probe. I bought it for my X4, but decided I don't want a tuner hanging in my window. It is a plug and play install to monitor EGTs. New the sell for $159. I'd like to get $125 and I'll ship it to continental US addresses for free.

I'm gutting my EBPV and replacing my pedestal with a non ebpv model.
While gutting the ebpv I was thinking, would it be a good location for an egt sending unit?
I've never installed an egt sensor, so I don't know how large they are, or what the recommended location is. I think I've heard of...
