The Primary reason I went there was I needed a starter ASAP + being the weekend, I wasn't going to get one shipped by the time I needed it. The truck is my DD and I needed to get to work Monday.

The old one lasted a bit over 2 years. Don't know if that's good or not. Maybe next time, when I suspect it's going, I should research starters.

      Recommendations?
They are not cheap by any means, but they last a long time. I have been selling these for about 5-6yrs and have only had 2 warranty claims out of 100's sold. One was a warranty that I fixed. The contact plunger inside the solenoid just had something stuck on it so it wouldnt make contact to engage the starter. I scrapped it clean, and it's been good ever since.

Thanks Corey! I'll definitely keep that one in mind! Looks beefy enough. Your price isn't too much higher than the one I just bought. The key will be to order one BEFORE the current one quits. :surprise:

Everywhere I've read says Denso starters are the way to go for strength and durability. [email protected] sells them. They are a bit pricey, but it's not something I want to do every couple years if you know what I mean.

Poor battery ground connections, corroded wires (on the inside of the insulation), will also cause short starter life.

Inspect those things, and if they look good, then this is a starter that we sell a lot of. It's pricey, but we rarely ever see a warranty claim, and I've had one on my truck for about 7-8yrs.
