2011 f250 caliper locking up

About a year ago my passenger side caliper locked up. Had it replaced with an oem caliper maybe six months after same thing on the driver side. Now the passenger side locked up again yesterday it seemed to happen after a hard stop. Let it sit overnight and is fine now but why would this keep happening? Is there a potential other problem causing the caliper to lock up? Thanks in advanced

Maybe the ABS is contributing to this?

I have the same problem on my 03. I've replaced rotors, calipers and pads multiple times. About a year or so ago i replaced ALL of the pads calipers and rotors with Power Stop brand and also bled all the brake fluid, plus i flushed the Power Steering fluid because i read somewhere that it shares the Hydroboost or something. This last month i noticed the brakes seemed to be dragging again and found the (not so old Power Stop) ds rear caliper is seized and smoking. AGAIN!! I don't know whats causing this brake caliper seizing problem but it sure is frustrating. The fronts seem to be fine still, so i just got done replacing the 2 rear brake assembly's again with new pads, rotors, calipers. ($350!) Remarkably, my 03 has had 0 problems, other than the brakes....

Tom, if the ABS was contributing, would/wouldn't there be an ABS warning light? When it works, it's fine. Just every once in awhile it seizes and wears out some pads and ruins a rotor. Usually, if you don't smell or see smoke, it's doesn't get noticed until it's too late..
