Small fuel tank in f250

Why on God's green earth would Ford put a small diesel tank on a 6.7 liter Super Duty? I feel it is about a 24 gal tank. I want a larger tank. Anyone else have the factory tank under their diesel?

Welcome to the forum.
You'll find plenty of discussion on here about the subject. Just do a search and it'll come up. They are 26 gal. tanks in the short bed trucks. A couple companies make 50 gal tanks, but Titan seems to be the favored one.

Now when you switch to a bigger tank does the fuel gauge still work as normal?
