Agree, I'd change it before your road trip. The moisture is why I asked if you get it up to full op temp. 25 miles a month prolly isn't enough to burn out the moisture.

I change mine once a year, even if I have only put a couple thousand miles on it. Oil absorbs moisture as it sits, which isn't good for your engine.

That's probably why most kits replace the CAT and DPF instead just the DPF. If you're going to pull emissions, might as well get rid of all of them!
