2018 Ford Super Duty Gets More Power and Torque

Quote:
Ford is claiming the 2018 Super Duty is America’s most powerful and capable heavy-duty pickup truck.

The 6.7-liter Power Stroke diesel engine has been upgraded for the 2018 model year, adding 10 horsepower and 10 pound-feet of torque compared to last year’s model. That gives the 2018 Ford Super Duty best-in-class 450 hp and 935 lb-ft of torque, along with 34,000 pounds of gooseneck towing when properly equipped. In addition, the Super Duty also has best-in-class 21,000-lb conventional hitch towing and 7,360-lb payload capacity.

Helping enhance performance on the engine are redesigned cylinder heads for added strength under higher loads, along with optimized fuel and turbo boost calibrations to take advantage of the increased cylinder head capacity.

You say that, but comparing a 2017 house to your (enter year built), all prices are tripled.

I priced out a Lariat F450 with all of my options and it was in the 70s... I even cringed at the cost of an F350 srw with all of my preferred options. Nice truck tho.

I hear ya 100%, in general, I always laugh when people compare new prices to "their" mortgage.

Its all relative and I suppose people living in a 2018 house aren't complaining about their top tier car prices.

In the same breath, me living in my house built in the 60's, Im not complaining about my old fleet.
