Ford Engine Plant Moving?

I heard from someone that Ford was planning on bringing their engine/trans plant stateside, because Trump won the election.

Is this valid or incorrect?

Yes, Ford is talking about moving things around since the election. Not sure if they've announced exactly which plants though.

Well it would be great if they brought the scorpion and torqshift plant to the states, I'd love to have a truck that is 100% American made

If this is true, I'll be impressed with our President Elect's abilities. He's not even President and things are happening to put America to work again. It looks hopeful.

All will depend on what he actually can do with renegotiating/getting rid of NAFTA.

Would subcontract manufacturing be totally out of question?

Even though it seems quite dumb to have the 6.7L made in England, especially considering there is no Ford product available officially in Europe, I still believe Dagenham is likely to remain as a development center for Diesel tech. When it comes to manufacturing, and considering a similar approach that had already been successfully implemented in my country by Toyota, Volkswagen and Chevrolet which partnered with a local Navistar branch instead of setting their own Diesel engine factories, would it be totally out of question for Ford to outsource local manufacturing of the 6.7L from some company like AM General?
