Pre chamber cleaning

I have an old non turbo that won't without a shot of ether. The glow plugs glow but apparently there is enough gunk in the pre chambers to stop firing. I know this because when I replaced the glow plugs some were hard to remove. Any way to clean without removing heads?

so you have an IDI (pre 94.5) ?
only starts with either?
glow plugs "glow" ? have you tested their ohm?

sounds like carbon build up
They make a Glow Plug Reamer to clean out the Carbon from the Holes and it will not damage anything.
You can buy one, make one

Thank you for the help. I was thinking to remove injectors and glow plugs and use a wire brush with cleaning solvent to clean inside glow pug holes then blow compressed air through injector holes and let the loose deposits
go through the glow plug holes. Does any one have a better idea other then removing heads?
