degreased the area below the turbo and rinsed it out with light water pressure. was able to tighten up screws on cac tubes (?) going down to heads about half turn with screwdriver. now that the area is clean i will check it out in a couple of days.

wesjones back of the engine is a telltale sign of a leak in the turbo seal...

just for argument's sake, how many miles do you have?

curious to see if others have had a problem or maybe info on what it could be.

see my thread in the "tech" forum under general topics for more help, but basically what you want to do is first check the valley.....see where the most foreward spot that is wet is. if there is any oil in front of the turbo..i would think that that is not your leak point. it is very common for the orange tubes that dump into the head from the manifold to seap also...and once you get oil down the backside on the heads and into the bellousing.....the amount can be decieving. if there is any oil foreward of there i would suspect the high pressure pump o rings.

back to the turbo.....if that is your leak, its very crucial to figure out if the leak is where the turbo meets the pedestal, or if the leak is where the pedestal meets the block.....cause you have to take the turbo off to do both repairs, but the pedestal only needs to come off if the block mounting area is the leak. the o rings are identical on both places....one smaller and one larger.....let us know if we can assist any more.......Marc
