arcticcat01 you wouldent be from, or around Dalton, GA would you. a few weeks back there was some one at my local dealer with the exact same problem.

donzi75 Worked the dipstick out with side to side pulling while engine was still warm and is fairly easy to use now. Not an issue anymore but disapointed the dealership did not check before I drove off and certainly glad the factory put the correct amount.

They cant be all loosened up, maybe you're not using the right size tool for the job

But as an aside -- did you get the dipstick out?

donzi75 no - truck is back sitting at a heliport, but will get back in on Wednesday and will bring it to the dealer and get them to 'check the oil'. They owe me a few things on the truck and will get everything at once. Sounds like it is nothing and just needs to be worked out slowly but I would rather let them do it. What would the neighbors think if driving by and I have a come-a-long hooked from a tree to the dipstick..."just checking the oil".

donzi75 Thanks. Thats what I was wondering...shouldn't the dealership be the first ones checking this. Actually my local dealer found the truck at another dealer, so this means two dealers failed to check the oil! I dont remember anything in HS being this snug!
