Hydro Your clock spring is bad(air bag sliding contact)

Sounds like broken wires in the door hinge area, or a faulty door switch -- for the interior lights

May want to look up under the dash to see if the windshield wiper pivot is leaking water onto the harness -- check the boots under the wiper arm also

hyperbolic Thank you for checking your trucks. Regarding the phantom issues.....
-I usually start the truck with the drivers door open. As soon as I turn the key to the run position, sometimes the interior lights stay on, other times they go out.
-The headlights sometimes do not come on although the parking and fog lights work.

7.3lf550 Just checked 2 of my trucks. Both 7.3s. One 2000 f550, one 2003 f450. Neither one did that.

what are the phantom wiring issues related to the WW/headlights?

Could be fuse box related. Or clock spring in the steering column. However the WW/headlights should not be affected by the clock spring.

Cruise control and Horn Connection

2002 F250. When the cruise “on”and “coast” buttons are pressed simultaneously, the horn activates. Is this normal for everyone?
There’s been phantom wiring related issues occurring with wipers and headlights and wondering if this is the source of those issues.
