I had to move away from Gardnerville 3 years ago to discipline my 87 year-old father. He retired to Atascadero CA, near Morro Bay. I really miss Gardnerville. And yes, many retired firefighters. When I lived near Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, it was a huge group of retired Law Enforcement Officers.

I bet you have a bunch of retired firefighters living near you. I can think of at least 5 guys that retired from my dept then pulled up stakes and moved to Gardnerville.

Nevada had beautiful sunrises and sunsets every day. Second is a sunrise over the Whites, first is sunset over BLM land behind my house, bordering the Sierra’s near Tahoe. Both taken from my back porch in Gardnerville NV. Not all of Nevada is desert.

i'm in this was the sunrise i would take my first break of the day too every day for 12 years...best cups of coffee, or maybe coffee breaks, i ever had were enjoying that veiw as the sun rose on another day and i knew life was good...even better when my boat lived in one of the closer slips in the marina right there
another of emerald bay which was about three miles from my house or so.
all sunrises because it was the best time to avoid tourists
oh also one of the genny just because i need to stay on this thing and get it set up for if they decide to punish gavey nuisance and shut power off to my part of the state in the near future i got teo freezers full of food right now
