RayW72 Gotcha. So the door chimes still work through the other speakers? That's the only reason I thought the center was needed for.

I bought a PAC Amp Pro to use for integrating an aftermarket amp with the factory head unit. They also have a harness APH-FD01 if you want to keep the factory speaker wires without cutting into the harness. I plan to run my own and drill through the molex in the door jams.

When I was running the factory Sony amp, I had upgraded the center speaker to an Infinity Reference REF-3022cfx and it was a noticeable upgrade. Now that I have since deleted my Sony amp with the Rockford Fosgate DSR-1, I really don't notice the center speaker missing.

Heavy_GD unless you are an audiophile watching surround sound movies, why not run the center speaker off one of the front channels?

Small Amp

For a bit of background, I'll be pulling my Sony amp and using the Rockford DSR1 to take its place. My amp I currently have is a JL XD1000/5v2 5 channel amp that I will use channels 1-4 to power my components in the front and back and channel 5 for my sub. This leaves my center speaker unpowered since the Sony amp is going to be removed. I currently have an Infinity REF-3022cfx in my center speaker now that is rated for 25w RMS. This being said, does anyone have a recommendation for a small amp that I can use to power this little guy? There are a few cheapo mini amps out there but they all seem to be from the "budget" brands.
