I've run Motorcraft w/ MC oil filter from 0 miles to 110k(ish). I switched to T6 after weight loss diet and started consistent OA to see what's up.
See attached for results.
I'd run either oil and MC filter with confidence. I switched to T6 for ease of purchase. Wal-Mart throughout my area has plenty of T6, MC was hit or miss.

Rotella T6 and Motorcraft 2051 filter
Rotella T6 and the Motorcraft filter. 171,xxx miles, and all is well....plus, you can get T6 at Walmart for under $20 a gallon. I'm a happy camper.

I have used PBE since the first oil change and no problems. Last oil change I decided to try T6. Seems to me the engine runs smoother on PBE. I will be going back to it. Just tried T6 because it is easier to get locally for me.

|Larry1013||Rotella T6 this last change. Previously Motorcraft 5w40. Next change will be Valvoline PBE 5w40. All are synthetic oils.|

|RCinLaveen||Second oil change. Ford 15w40 and filter both times. Have it done at the dealership with tire rotation and truck washed for $105.|
