Grish76 Motorcraft 10-30 and filter from day one.

Why not, they designed the engine around it?

08F350 I run Mobil Delvac 1 ESP 0W40 year around......and put it in my coffee......it's that gooooood!!!

ars5147 Mobil Delvac 1 ESP 0W-40

Mobil HDEO 10W30

Mobil HDEO 15W40

These Mobil oils do meet the Ford spec, always wondered why their TD truck 5w40 doesn't. Only reason is I have a ton of it and got it for a very good price.

I ran many gallons of TD truck 5w40 (CK4) through my 14 6.7 with no issues. I always just added some ZDDP but didn't have the exhaust bazooka to worry about supposedly hurting the catalyst materials with additives that are good for wear. My 19 is bazooka equipped still though.

I spoke with Mobil over a year ago. Maybe another phone call is in order if one of you want to be sure. I’m going to stick with amsoil signature series as it is full synthetic unlike mobil 1 turbo diesel oil.

What did they say?

Ive been wondering why their TD truck wont meet the spec.
They could not tell me why but simply their oil does not meet that specification. I did reading up on the new standard: If you have old CJ-4 standard oil you can still use it as long as it does NOT meet the new CK-4 standard. If it meets CK-4 it has to also meet the new ford spec or you risk engine wear/damage.

I also used mobil 1 TBT until ford announced their new oil standard due to excessive wear. mobil 1 tbt does not meet ford oil spec WSS-M2C171-F1. I checked the bottles and even called mobil 1 tech support to ask.

After finding out I tried red line diesel truck oil but it is too expensive. Now I buy amsoil 15w-40 signature diesel truck oil with their preferred buyer program pricing.

Used to buy motorcraft filters but switched to napa platinum a few years ago.
