|Wood's Powerstroke||Yep; Locker with 3:73's. I agree that it looks like it's leaking from the speed sensor on top. Clean the housing with brake cleaner, unplug the sensor, remove the one bolt (10 mm, I believe) and GENTLY pry it out. Replace with a new sensor, and happy motoring. A '99 with only 27,000 miles? Man, you hit the jackpot. Post a pick or two.|

|jamierayo||It looks like it’s leaking from the speed sensor. It has an o-ring & 1 bolt that holds it in. The code try’s you it’s a limited slip with 3.73 gears.|

Diiferential fluid leak
Just acquired a '99 F250 with 7.3L and 27,000 miles. Rear differential has a leak (slow drip, brown-tan color, thick, and smells like oil) but the origin is from the top front driver side of differential, not from a seal below. Tag on the rear of the differential is marked as "" S 409 E L 73 105 9 F 03 "" .
