hey ive been following diagnosing tips that you posted and i had a question. im getting a p0261, inectector 1 circuit low. so first i had a test light and did the koer test with test light and was only getting flickering on 3/4 pin and not 1/2. for good measure i checked 7 as well to see if there was a difference, 1/2 worked and 3/4 did not. are they all supposed to be sending power at all times? then i pulled the ficm and did the continuity test and found the opposite to be the case. inj1- 3/4 no continuity and inj 7 1/2 no continuity. any thoughts? |

...but I can kinda see frayed wires. F1.22 is the ABS module, I believe. That would mean that these two diagrams apply. Your wire bundle is #12A581. ![]() ![]() The fix is to cut the wire that has missing wire casing, put some heat shrink tubing on one side or the other, resolder, and then shrink the heat shrink centered over it to cover the old/new bare segment and new solder joint completely. If you need to add a short wire segment in because of the lost length, fine. Unless, this is a trick question... |

Not too long ago, I reported out on a chafing repair in this other thread: https://www.powerstroke.org/forum/6-0...nvenience.html I thought that it would be good to include the link here, also. |

I was scanning an old pile of random paperwork and ran across instructions from an official Ford Wiring Repair Kit. The instructions even have a Ford part number (SK-1W7J-14B475-AA). It came with a connector that I bought. Anyway, it seemed possibly of interest so it is attached... |

I was posting to a thread about FICM harness chafing and provided a document that may be useful to others. It is attached below. It is a single page that came from International's FICM Tech Guide. That document is too big to attach, but can be found here: https://swampsdiesel.com/files/Fordficm.pdf |
