2000 Expedition seats in a 96 f-250 PSD

I picked up a nice set of 2000 Expedition grey leather Eddie Bauer seats . The driver seat is power and the passenger seat is manual . I want to put them in my 1996 F-250 PSD extended cab . The original bucket seats are kind of ragged and stinky . They will look great if I can get them mounted in there .I thought since the drivers seat had the power controls on the side that it would be a matter of hooking up power and ground , but it turns out to be not that simple . The harness under the seat has about ten connectors and umpteen wires . The brackets to mount them to the floor are different also . Is it feasible to mate the new seats to the older subframes? Has anyone done a similar swap ? Any suggestions will be appreciated .

The mounting holes might not line up. But it will work. I put Superduty buckets on OBS frames and installed them in place of a bench seat. I had to shim the passenger side up and drill new holes. Maybe if mine had buckets, or that cab-width tray some of the OBS trucks have, it would have worked out better.
As far as the connector, IDK why there would be so many pins. Could be power for each seat control, seat heater, etc. You could trace each wire to the motor(s) and narrow it down that way.
Go for it and post some pics. The SD seats were terrible. Too thick. If you didn't have tilt steering, your knees would rub the steering wheel all the time. No legroom in the back (ext cab) either.

Yes , I think the seats did have a memory feature . The basic switches are on the side of the seat , but the memory part must have been somewhere else on the EB expedition . That's probably the reason for the extra plugs and wires . Right now I am leaning toward installing the new seats on the old subframes , which will mean ditching the power option . Would have been nice , but I don't care that much about power , as long as I can adjust them .

So I went ahead and installed the new seats on the old subframes . That seemed like the easiest way to do it . I was able to match up about half of the bolt holes and drilled new ones in the seat base and added bolts and nuts .The power feature would have been nice but would have been a lot more work . At least it looks great and is very comfortable . Now my wife and daughter aren't embarressed to ride with me now and don't hold their noses .
I will attempt to post some pics .

I was just looking at the schematic for the seats, if you hook the Orange/Light Green to power, and ground the Black/Light Blue wire, the motors should work. The other wires were from the memory module, to control the motors. Was the Memory module included with the seats? or was it gone? It might need that still in place for that to work though

Thanks for the info . Tried that , but they still did not work . Apparently the memory module is required , which I don't have . I'm happy with the seats on the manual sub bases , though . If any one out there needs the expedition sub base with the motors and all , make me an offer . I don't think I will be using them . Thanks , Gary :thumb:
