    Hello, so I have been looking into intercooling my truck for a while and have en e99 spider, pipes and an aluminum 7.3 ic. I noticed you seem quite knowledgeable about this subject and live in northern Arizona? I'm in southern Nevada near Vegas and was wondering if I paid you would you be willing to help install my intercooler? I am able to travel to you. Thanks

    Forgot a couple of things. Read dieselsites info on the 203* thermostat, will realyy help you in the winters there. If you don't want to mod the idm yourself one of the diesel performance sites has one, can't remember who and it's a little pricey. You could install in from from a 2001-2003 7.3 super duty and have a 120v idm rather than the obs 100v idm. The higher voltage idm will fire the injectors stronger/crisper

    helps keep egt's in check but just like the 6.0 fan, if you never leave Flag where the temps seldom get over 80* it may not be needed. But if you tow coming up the mountains from Phoenix the intercooler with the 6.0 fan and ac running works very well. I think that about covers most of it, any other questions feel free to ask.

    restriction. A 3" downpipe and 4" exhaust are all you need. I like to dump the exhaust just forward of the rear wheel and have done it on several trucks around here. A ebpv delete turbo pedestal gets rid of a potentially big oil leak and makes removing or installing the turbo much easier. Removing the butterfly from the turbo exhaust outlet means more air flow. More air flow means lower egt's. E-fuel helps keep a constant supply and gets rid of the fuel canister, fuel pump and several hoses out of the engine valley which are prone to leaking and makes working on the engine more difficult. The 6.0 fan moves a lot more air, if you stay in Flag it may not be needed but if go to the valley at all it will be a plus. A intercooler

    Hello Greg. I'm in Page. Lets see, the baby swamp injectors are good for a little over 125 more horse power, really wakes the truck up. Swamps sales what they call a 340hp package that includes injectors and chip, they will custom burn the chip. You can go with bigger injectors but I don't think it is necessary in a good all around use truck. The 1.0 exhaust housing will help spool the turbo much sooner which will be a huge plus for the elevation you live at. A billet compressor wheel will also help spool sooner and move more air. The 6637 air filter is a huge improvement over the stock filter system and provides the air needed for the other mods. Stay away from filters like the K&N style (oiled gauze) they let way to much fine dirt through. If your truck still has the flat factory downpipe that needs to go before doing any other mods because it is a huge exhaust

    Hello 1Dieselman! I was reading your responses to sprayed347 about his dually and you suggested the mods in your signature. Could you elaborate on these a little for me please? May I ask where in N AZ you're located? I'm in Flag and recently acquired a '97 and am looking to do similar upgrades. I'm a good enough shadetree mechanic but there seem to be soooo many ways to throw money at these rigs. I could really use a little unbiased advice. Thanks and hope to hear from you soon!
